Protect Your Family’s Treasures

There’s no safer place in the world than a bank’s vault. Bank of Dudley customers can enjoy the ultimate in security for irreplaceable valuables and important documents with our affordable safe deposit boxes.

Give yourself and your family peace of mind with the knowledge that your most treasured possessions are protected from loss, theft, or destruction.

The Ultimate Security for Your Irreplaceable Valuables

Sometimes referred to as a “safety deposit box,” a safe deposit box is an individual, secure lock box stored in the vault at one of our branches. You pay for your safe deposit box yearly, and the rental fees can be deducted automatically from your Bank of Dudley account of choice.

During regular business hours, you can visit that branch at any time and open your safe deposit box. You can store anything in your deposit box that you want to protect from theft, loss, and unexpected disasters like fires and floods.

Your safe deposit box is yours and yours alone. Not even a bank employee can access the contents of your safe deposit box without your expressed consent. Two levels of access control ensure the privacy and safety of your possessions:

  • Each person accessing a safe deposit box must present a valid ID that’s checked against the box’s authorized users. Only individuals who are authorized to access a safe deposit box are granted access to the vault.
  • Each box is protected with a keyed lock; you’re given the key when you first rent the safe deposit box.

What Can I Keep in a Safe Deposit Box?

You can use your safe deposit box to store anything you want, so long as it’s not hazardous, perishable, or illegal. Whether that means your prized Chipper Jones rookie card, grandma’s wedding ring, or your family’s passports, if it fits, it’s secure!

While you can keep just about anything safe in a safe deposit box, most people use them for things like:

Valuables
  • Jewelry
  • Medals
  • Heirlooms
  • Stamps or other high-value collections
Personal Documents
  • Passports
  • Deeds and titles
  • Wills and estate plans
  • Vital records (birth, marriage, and death certificates)
Financial Records

Business Uses for Safe Deposit Boxes

Our business customers can also enjoy the convenience of a safe deposit box at any of our branches. Business customers use safe deposit boxes for a number of reasons, including:

  • Physical backups of mission-critical digital information
